The bakery experience gastronomy with integrated café concept sets new standards in the industry on 380m2. The café concept, which is well-known and popular in Central Switzerland, is now part of the Länderpark branch and offers 130 seats, 30 of which are outside.

The successful bakery-gastronomy enriches the gastro offer with a wide range of canapés, patisseries, pastries, sandwiches, salads and homemade ice cream. These include pizzas prepared in the “front cooking” area, filled and unfilled pastas with six different sauces and the popular hot paninis. Incidentally, the classic “French fries with crispy chicken nuggets (CH)” is fried using only natural, high-quality sunflower oil. The preparation of the menus for the entire range takes five to ten minutes, depending on the rush and product, and is available from morning to evening.

When ordering at the counter, the customer is given a device that flashes and vibrates when the meal is ready to be picked up. Customers are served at the counter with the advantage that they can read the products with their eyes. This means they are served more quickly and pay immediately. Coffee and other drink specialties, such as Gazosa from Ticino, are available directly. Thanks to this system, consumption prices are more attractive than in a traditional restaurant, and consumption is quicker and easier, which is very much in line with the trend. The pressure on bakery products is greater due to the changeover, with the great side effect that fresh products can always be baked and produced. Bachmann customers notice and appreciate this exclusive freshness.

Bachmann has built up a brand over the last few years with its natural fresh ice cream. The generous scoops and fresh production according to original Italian recipes have won many loyal customers.

The 40 home-made pralines, various chocolate specialties and the unique and exclusive Luxemburgerli, which are available in eight seasonal varieties in open fresh sales, round off the range perfectly.

Customer frequency in the Länderpark depends on the weather. Bachmann offers a full range of fresh bread until closing time, which is why in-store baking was chosen.

The demands on the infrastructure of the megastore were far higher than for a conventional bakery due to the variety of products on offer and the freshness concept. When you enter the restaurant and café, you immediately notice that the best materials have been used in the furnishings. The sensitive coordination and alignment according to Feng Shui literally draws passers-by into the store and those who are inside feel at ease. The entire store was built to the energy-saving Minergie standard.

The architect Marc Jöhl understood perfectly how to combine the rules of feng shui, complex technology and processes in one restaurant. Success lies in the details, which is why the nine months of planning were very well invested and necessary. All contracts for the conversion were awarded to local Swiss companies. Confiseur Bachmann attaches great importance to ensuring that the added value remains in the region.
