Magenbrot (Spiced Bread)

Magenbrot.

The Bachmann-Magenbrot contains stomach-friendly spices like cloves, cinnamon, star anise and mace (hence the name Magenbrot, meaning "stomach bread"). Pure cacao gives the Magenbrot its dark brown colour. Magenbrot is a speciality from Switzerland and was known as „herbal bread“ before chocolate was added to the recipe.
