Molki Stans

Our local partners

Some partnerships begin with a commission. Others develop over the years into a genuine collaboration between equals. The relationship between Molki Stans and Confiserie Bachmann certainly falls into the second category.

What makes Molki Stans special?

Molki Stans stands for local connections, and we source our milk from three local farmers. We have maintained long-standing, personal relationships with them and our partners. We know each other, share ideas and work hand in hand. This closeness builds trust, and ultimately, that’s exactly what you can taste in the milk and the products made from it.

What fascinates you most about your job?

Milk as a raw material. I’m fascinated by all the things you can make from milk. The cows are our most important colleagues. That’s why it’s particularly lovely to know that the milk comes from the same village as our Molki. This connection to the region and to the people behind it makes our work special every single day.

Molki Stans X Confiserie Bachmann

For over 15 years, Molki Stans has been supplying us with fresh milk several times a week. Every day, we use this milk to make specialities such as Bircher muesli, vanilla doughnuts, cream slices, yoghurt and, of course, our ice cream. But there is far more to this partnership than just a high-quality raw ingredient.

What unites us are shared values: a connection to the region, an uncompromising commitment to quality, and the conviction that good products are created above all through good relationships and even better raw materials.

We wanted to find out more about where the milk that finds its way into our bakery every day actually comes from. So, together with Axel, we visited one of the farmers and milk producers at Molki Stans.

Silvan Zimmermann – dairy farmer

Silvan runs his farm in Stans with great passion and dedication. It became clear after just a few minutes that his cows are far more to him than just farm animals. They are part of his everyday life. He told us that he even counts them as part of his family and that they are an important part of his life.

When he’s working in the barn – or, as he calls it, the ‘Gadä’ – he often talks to them or even sings a little something to them. You can sense this appreciation throughout the entire value chain. From the farm, through the dairy, right through to our specialities, treating people, animals and products with respect is at the heart of everything we do.

That is precisely why we are delighted to work with partners who share our values and are equally passionate about quality.
