Bleicherweg

Bleicherweg is turning pink! This is where Confiserie Bachmann opened its third specialty store in the city of Zurich on Tuesday, Oct. 24. The family-owned company, headquartered in Lucerne, has quickly built up a large regular clientele at its other two Zurich locations in Sihlcity and on Bahnhofstrasse.

The wide, fresh range of products and the innovative, seasonal specialties ensure that the specialty stores are very busy at any time of day: For coffee and croissants to go, for hot lunch menus or fresh after-work bread. With the third location, a frequently expressed customer wish is now being fulfilled.

The Bachmann confectionery was founded over 125 years ago, and today the business is already being run by the fourth generation. The small Lucerne neighborhood bakery has grown into a multi-award-winning family business with 580 employees and 21 specialty stores (some with cafés). The gourmet professionals are known for recognizing culinary trends at an early stage and implementing them for the general public - in line with the motto: away from bakery uniformity, towards individual moments of enjoyment made from the best ingredients and produced with a great deal of know-how. For different generations, population groups and needs, and with a comprehensive sustainability strategy.

At Bleicherweg 19, 120 m2 of store space have been created in recent weeks, and 12 new jobs have also been created. Homey materials such as stone and wood create a cozy atmosphere, which is complemented by Bachmann's typical fresh counter. Like each of the 21 specialty stores, the newest one is supplied with fresh baked goods two to three times a day.
