Not just any bean, but the finest is used for the production of our Grand Cru Pralines: the nowadays hard to find Criollo bean from the producer region Sur del Lago, Maracaibo, Venezuela. Genuineness and authenticity were the crucial factors for us. Approximately 5% of the world's harvest is so-called „fine cacao“. "Criollo" is one of them. Only the very best beans are processed. The traditional, careful roasting allows the cacao to fully express its fine character. This original, elaborate refining procedure allows the hidden wealth of flavours to unfold.
