New Marroni Bread – A Journey Through the Bakery

It’s just after 6:00 a.m., and our bakery is already in full swing. As I enter the bakehouse, I’m greeted by the aroma of fresh Bachmann bread specialties. Feeling a little hungry, I look for our production manager Carsten, who is energetically preparing a bread dough. “Up already?” Carsten asks me with a big grin. As an office worker, I have to put up with such remarks every now and then – after all, our bakery team has been at work for over two hours already.

As I take a closer look at the dough, Carsten tells me that he is currently testing the new Marroni bread. “Marroni bread, that already sounds delicious,” I reply, watching as he mixes the dough with fresh chestnuts. The next morning, after resting for 12 hours, the dough is ready to be worked. I’m back in the bakery as well – unfortunately not as well-rested – and watch Carsten and the team shape the Marroni loaves. “Thanks to the long resting time, the dough is particularly easy to digest and develops the desired flavor,” Carsten explains. “That’s why the bread tastes so good. It’s incredible how much precision goes into the baking process.” Next, the loaves go into the oven and come out warm and crispy after the scheduled baking time.

As a marketing employee at Confiserie Bachmann, I naturally have the advantage of being able to taste the new specialties right away. So I tried the new bread for lunch and was thrilled by the delicious Marroni flavor, which fits the season perfectly.
