Recognition Award for the 3D Cake Configurator

Confiserie and Bäckerei Bachmann has received the IHZ Recognition Award for its virtual 3D cake configurator. With this technically complex solution, the company has created an innovation within the industry. Customers can design their own cakes and order them online at any time. In doing so, this traditional company promotes digitalization and secures jobs for skilled workers.

On June 9, 2021, the IHZ Innovation and Recognition Award, supported by UBS Switzerland AG and Luzerner Kantonalbank AG, was presented for the 34th time. The ceremony, which had originally been scheduled for November of the previous year, was postponed several times due to COVID-19 and was finally held in a small circle.

For the IHZ Innovation Award, 14 exciting and innovative projects from various industries were submitted. The evaluation criteria focused on originality and the level of innovation, market success and potential, significance for Central Switzerland, entrepreneurial performance, as well as benefits for society and the environment.
