2. Place Best of Swiss Gastro
Confiserie Bachmann is one of the winners of the Best of Swiss Gastro Award in the category Coffee & Bistro for 2020. Our café at Bahnhofstrasse 89 in Zurich was nominated for the Best of Swiss Gastro Award along with 129 other establishments. On October 21, 2019, the award ceremony took place, and we proudly received second place in the category Coffee & Bistro! The ranking was based on both guest and expert reviews. We are truly overwhelmed and would like to thank everyone who voted so diligently for us and believed in us. The Confiserie Bachmann Café on Zurich’s Bahnhofstrasse has been open since January 2019. As a family business from Lucerne, we were able to gather our first experiences there and are all the more grateful for this recognition!

How was the award ceremony?
It was grand and glamorous; we didn’t know what to expect. You can imagine the award ceremony like a big Christmas party. Everyone was very open, and the atmosphere was fantastic.
Did you expect us to win second place?
It was a surprise for us. We were all highly motivated to take part and gave it our all. For us, this award ceremony was a very emotional moment, since we had only opened the café in January 2019 and, as a family business from Lucerne, first had to prove ourselves in Zurich on Bahnhofstrasse. I would like to sincerely thank everyone who made this possible.
How is the Zurich team doing?
The staff followed the event via livestream. Everyone is overwhelmed, proud, and overjoyed!
