Sweet Samichlaus Gifts from our Confectionery

Samichlaus, dear old man, may we have something sweet? On December 6 it’s Samichlaus Day. Discover what the pink Bachme-Chlaus has in his sack of fine treats this year…
Once upon a time, long ago. Deep in the forest, as every year, the Samichlaus gathering took place. The Chläuse had their sacks filled with sweets and discussed their routes for the year. All were dressed in red coats with long white beards. Only one of the Chläuse was entirely in pink and already knew exactly where his sleigh would take him.
The pink Samichlaus – also known as the Bachme-Chlaus – always stops by our confectionery during the pre-Advent season, bringing with him a large sack full of many delights. But in his sack you won’t find the usual Biber and gingerbread. On the contrary, he enchants our assortment with unique Samichlaus gifts that will not only make children’s eyes sparkle.
Our Samichlaus Gifts

In the Bachme-Chlaus’s sack, sweet Biber specialties such as Biber Happy Chlaus, Biber Star Elk and Drop-Chlaus meet Samichlaus gingerbread and Nut Treat Elk. And since our Chlaus is also a chocolate lover, he has also packed melt-in-your-mouth tartufi, a chocolate puzzle, and the Praliné Santa.
Try our Samichlaus gifts now and get into the spirit of a joyful Christmas season.
Did you know?
The idea behind Samichlaus is based on Saint Nicholas of Myra, a famous saint from early Christianity. Nicholas of Myra was known for sneaking through the town at night, leaving gifts and treats for children on the window ledges of poor families. From Saint Nicholas arose today’s Samichlaus, who, by the way, is also the patron saint of bakers.
